Laurie Miller, Founder & Chairman of the Board
Laurie Miller has been an entrepreneur and business owner since 1959. She lead and managed hundreds of people in a manner that encouraged initiative, responsibility and leadership. These attributes are now shared with the Foundation's staff, volunteers and students who are our Young Entrepreneurs. She conceived the Foundation years ago as she understood first hand the sense of self worth, confidence and personal independence that entrepreneurship instills in a person. She is the Chairman of the Board, leads the development of the Foundation's curriculum & programs, and oversees all of the Foundation's operations.

Colin Kaufmann, Founder & Director
Colin Kaufmann has developed, or partnered in the development of businesses ranging from commercial finance to device & research technologies. He co-founded the Foundation with Laurie & Warren Miller and soon thereafter acquired the rights to the Warren Miller Co. - in part to support the development of the Foundation's organization and growth. He is the CEO of the Warren Miller Co. and contributes as a Director on the Board of the Foundation.

Shelby Hosford, Program Director
Shelby Hosford spent her career in education as a progressive and successful teacher. She oversees and manages the Foundation's program and plays an important role in the development and continued refinement of the teaching manual and experiential student guide. Shelby's primary career involved teaching high school English, Advanced Placement and Spanish, serving as English department  chair and teaching in an international school in Nigeria.

Gerry Adams, CPA, CHAE
Gerry Adams has been active in accounting for 32 years and has consistently gone the extra mile with his clients, naturally making this his favorite part of the job. He has been an integral part of his firm's successful development with international experience and professional emphasis including but not limited to: Strategic Business Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, Entity Formation and Financing, Internal Control Reviews and Management Consulting. He is a Shareholder and Director of Strategic Planning and Development at Clothier & Head, served as advisor during the formation of the Foundation, is the Foundation's CPA as well as a generous supporter and advocate for its success.

Richard Alaniz, J.D.
Richard Alaniz is a partner in the Seattle law firm of Black Lowe & Graham where he has served as managing partner and on the management committee. Rich concentrates his practice on assisting startups and other emerging growth companies from formation through the development and exploitation of their intellectual property including related agreement work; developing/implementing an IP strategy; and all related litigation. Rich received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa. He has acted as a close advisor to Colin Kaufmann and as counsel to both the Warren Miller Co. and the Freedom Foundation. His professional involvement with both the company and the Foundation have been invaluable.
